We hold an FFMC license which enables us to convert currencies. However, all the remittance transactions are processed through RBI authorized partners

What is outward remittance?

An outward remittance is when money is sent abroad from the resident country to any overseas country. You can send money abroad to a beneficiary for various purposes including maintenance of close relatives abroad, medical treatment abroad, education abroad and private visits.

What is the limit of LRS in a year?

As per the RBI, Under the Liberalized Remittances Scheme (LRS) every Indian resident can send up to USD 2,50,000 in a financial year. An individual can remit multiple times during the year for various purposes permitted under the LRS limit. However, the total amount of all such transactions must not exceed USD 2,50,000 in a FY.

How can I modify or cancel the transfer?

How much time will it take to complete the transfer and receive the SWIFT copy?

It will take anywhere between 24 to 48 working hours.

Unable to get through the verification steps?

  • Please check that the name provided by you in documents uploaded for proof of identity and proof of address is the same.
  • Please check if the mobile number is linked with your AADHAR, in case you have uploaded the same as proof of address.
  • If proof of address is a passport - Verification will be completed if the passport is issued in India.

How will I know if my transaction is confirmed or my recipient has received money ?

We will keep you updated with the information related to your transactions or payment status on your registered email id. You can also check the status of your transaction in the dashboard.

What document do I need for verification to get completed?

PAN card is the mandatory document as proof of identity. Any one of the following (Aadhar, Passport, Voter ID, Driving License) can be provided as the proof of address. Document verification will be performed real time.

What are the charges levied for different modes of payment?

If you choose to pay via debit card, you may be levied additional charges anywhere in the range of 1.25% to 2.5%. Please note that the additional charges on payments via debit card are levied by the payment gateway and not by moneyHOP.

How do I cancel the transaction?

You can cancel the transaction from the Hop dashboard post logging into your Hop- Remit Account. Alternatively, you can also call us at +91-6364001001 and request the customer support executive to cancel the transaction post-identity verification.

What payment methods can I use for the fund transfer?

We have NEFT (Bank transfers), Net Banking, Debit card and UPI as the payment modes for the fund transfer. Any one of the following can be used.

How much money can I transfer via different modes of payment?

As per RBI regulations, you can transfer up to INR 1 lakh via UPI. In case you intend to transfer more than INR 1 lakh, then you can select Net banking or Debit card as the mode of payment. You can also make a direct wire-transfer from your bank account to the account number displayed on the HOPRemit payment page in 3 working hours after creating the transaction.
