The government has made it mandatory to link Aadhaar with other documents and bank accounts. It is one of the most preferred\/accepted identity proof thus it is necessary to also register or update your active mobile number on it. As per the latest information you cannot update your mobile number online via the old Service Update Portal as it was discontinued. You can do it offline by visiting your nearest Aadhaar enrollment center. The whole process takes around 90 days. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/span>STEP-BY-STEP PROCESS <\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Here is a step-wise process of how you can update or add your mobile number to your Aadhar card- <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 1-<\/strong> Visit the near Aadhaar enrollment center. To locate the nearest enrolment\/ update center, go to Aadhaar\u2019s official website<\/a>-> Go to \u2018my Aadhaar\u2019-> select the \u2018locate an enrollment center\u2019 option from the drop-down menu. You can search for the centre via state, pin code, locality name, city, and district. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 2<\/strong>– Fill the Aadhaar Update\/ Correction Form<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 3-<\/strong> Submit the form to the Aadhaar executive <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 4- <\/strong>Pay the fee of Rs. 100 for the service. Whether you update one field or many, charges for Aadhaar update will be the same. However, to update the demographic details the platform charges Rs. 50. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 5<\/strong>– You will receive an acknowledgment slip that contains the Update Request Number (URN). This number can be used to check the status of your Aadhar update. Your mobile number is expected to be updated within 90 days.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
