1. University Offer Letter

A university offer letter formally notifies students who have applied for admission into a particular program, certifying their acceptance. 

There are two main types of offers:

  • Unconditional Offer: It means you’ve met all admission requirements, securing your place without any further hurdles. Keep an eye on your email for a notification and link to download the official letter. For international applicants, the unconditional offer may arrive via postal mail.
  • Conditional Offer: The offer may have conditions attached, requiring you to meet specific criteria for eligibility, such as obtaining necessary grades or satisfying prescribed conditions. If all conditions are met, the offer becomes firm. Conditional offers are typically communicated through email, postal mail (especially for government agencies), or online portals.

2. I20 Letter

It’s an official U.S. school document, the ‘Certificate of Eligibility,’ confirming your program acceptance and financial readiness for an F-1 visa application. Family members need their I-20 for F-2 dependent status. Once accepted, the school’s “Designated School Official” (DSO) will issue your I-20 electronically or by mail.

3. Student Passport

A “student passport” is a standard passport designed for educational purposes, such as studying abroad. You can apply online through the Passport Seva website or visit any Passport Seva Kendra across India in person.

4. Loan Sanction Letter

A loan sanction letter is your lender’s approval to borrow money. It’s your ticket to financial assistance, usually received via email or hard copy after approval. If it is missing, check your loan portal and get in touch with your loan officer.

5. Loan Disbursement Letter

A loan disbursement letter serves as confirmation from the bank regarding the approved loan amount. It provides details such as the disbursed sum and repayment terms. You can expect to receive this letter either through email or regular mail shortly after you have signed the loan agreement and completed all verifications.

6. Visa

A visa allows entry, stay, and departure from a country. Embassies or consulates process applications, and some countries offer online platforms or provide visas on arrival. Others allow visa-free entry for certain nationalities.

9. Rent Agreement

A rental agreement outlines rights and responsibilities in a tenancy. Usually, the landlord provides this agreement. You can consult a lawyer or property agent for assistance. Or, you can get the agreement done online.

10. Relationship Proof

Securing proof of relationships is vital for legal or immigration purposes. Essential documents include Marriage Certificates (acquired from the Registrar of Marriages), Adoption Certificates (issued by the Child Welfare Committee), and Birth Certificates (from municipal authorities, city corporation offices, or registrar offices). 

Resident Indians can submit their passport (acquired from Passport Seva Kendras) or a Voter ID (Electoral ID Registration Office) as relevant documents. NRIs can present an OCI (Overseas Citizen of India) Card.

11. Beneficiary ID

A Beneficiary ID is a unique identifier crucial for receiving benefits or assets in various contexts, like insurance policies or financial accounts. To access it, check program websites or apps, government websites or offices for government-run programs, or directly contact the program administrator, providing necessary personal information for verification.

12. Site Verification Report (SVR)

A site verification report (SVR) is a document that confirms the accuracy of an individual’s adherence to specific criteria, emphasizing compliance with regulations, internal controls, and AML & KYC requirements. To obtain a copy, contact the issuing financial institution directly, visit their branch, or access it through the related regulatory body’s website. You can also contact a third-party firm to get SVR.
